Let go of what has passed. Let go of what may come. Let go of what is happening now. Don’t try to figure anything out. Don’t try to make anything happen. Relax, right now, and rest.

I am convinced that there can be luxury in simplicity. One glass of water doesn’t equal another. One may just appease the thirst, the other you may enjoy thoroughly.

V.I.V.E.K - Over My Head (Om Unit Remix)

image

I’m going to be straight here, I haven’t really listened to much V.I.V.E.K. and perhaps it’s lazy journalism to admit so, but whatever (I DON’T CARE HOMIE). This isn’t huffpo, this is a Life Crushed, and we are a blargh*. However, I am very aware of who LDN based thug-fiend (you’re welcome) Om Unit is. And judging by the caliber of this here remix, Mr. Coles has yet to loose a proverbial step. A little dark and very reminiscent of weirdo Berlin neighbor Holy Other, Om Unit takes a break from his dub heavy ‘Aeolian’ and manages to manufacture a slow and soggy take on V.I.V.E.K.’s breathtakingly original jam, “Over My Head.” Alrighty, well even though this is just a preview, I find myself still content with it’s sound and therefore eagerly await the full release. Seriously though, I like totally want this added to my catalog right now but we can’t always get what we want. Right guys? Right. LIFE IS A SERIES OF LET DOWNS. Just kidding (not kidding). To hear more Om Unit, peep a sneaker pimps Soundcloud.

Socializing is as exhausting as giving blood. People assume we loners are misanthropes, just sitting thinking, ‘Oh, people are such a bunch of assholes,’ but it’s really not like that. We just have a smaller tolerance for what it takes to be with others. It means having to perform. I get so tired of communicating.

It’s easy to feel like you’ve got nothing to wear, but it’s also a signal of identity problems. If you’ve got a well-developed sense of identity, you tend to know what’s you no matter what the trends. Nothing I buy ever looks new, because I have my look down, and it’s classic.
